The one-year agreement will see the India Business Group become an official partner of the venue and Hampshire Cricket, coinciding with this summer’s Test match between England and India at the Ageas Bowl, which begins on Thursday 30th August.

Based in the UK with a team of specialist researchers, consultants and partners in India, the India Business Group provides expertise, connections and cultural awareness to help organisations reach new markets and make successful deals.

Led by Amarjit Singh, an established thought leader on UK & India business affairs, the group has worked with a range of organisations within the UK and India over the past decade, forming established links and cross border joint ventures.

As part of the collaboration, the Ageas Bowl has also been named as one of the official partners to The Indian Awards 2018, set to be held on Thursday 17th May in the Houses of Parliament. The awards are established as an important celebration of UK & India business, trade, investment and cultural relations, offering a prestigious platform for recognising the efforts of UK based individuals and businesses who continue to strengthen bilateral relations.

The gala invitation-only dinner and ceremony will feature senior business leaders, government officials, opinion formers and prominent members of the Indian community, as well as guests from India and other parts of the World.

There are six award categories ranging from SME’s, professional advisers, entrepreneurs, arts & culture to special recognition. Nominations are invited by members of the public before 31 March by online submission at the designated awards website and the winners will be chosen by a panel of judges and announced on the evening of Thursday 17th May.

The Ageas Bowl’s Chief Commercial Officer, Jonathan Crocker said: “With the forthcoming England, India Test Match in mind, partnering with the India Business Group is a natural fit for us.

“We are planning a good number of events in the lead up to and during the Test Match which will see another exciting year of cricket at the Ageas Bowl. We are delighted to have this association in place with Armajit and his team and very much look forward to working with them.”

Amarjit Singh, India Business Group’s Chief Executive Officer said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Ageas Bowl at a time when both of our respective organisations are hosting world class events aimed at promoting closer bilateral relations between the UK and India”.

The Ageas Bowl saw record-breaking demand for this summer’s International fixture following the conclusion of a priority booking period last year, and this unprecedented interest has continued following the release of tickets on general sale.”
