Leading the charge in the EV revolution

The very definition of public relations is influencing a change in behaviour and as an agency we’re getting tremendous satisfaction from being at the leading edge of the UK’s charge to adopt electric vehicles or EVs as they’re described in the sector.

Our latest coup is getting terrific media coverage for our client Taylor Made Computer Solutions, which is switching to an all-electric fleet starting with six BMW i3 pool cars with its customary high-profile branding. We’re particularly thrilled to read the BMWBlog.

Taylor Made is well-known for its fleet of nearly 50 branded Skoda Octavias and says it’s clear the future for cars is electric and it’s keen to embrace the technology sooner rather than later.

Founder and managing director Nigel Taylor said: “With the Government planning to ban the sale of all new petrol and diesel cars from 2040, it’s never been clearer that the future is electric. Businesses have a significant role to play in the switch to alternatively fuelled vehicles and we’re keen to start that journey right now.”

Our client InstaVolt is leading the way in the UK as it builds the best in class EV charging infrastructure to help support the world’s need for the electrification of transport. Its roll out of rapid charge units is already transforming the landscape as the machines start to appear on forecourts, service stations and in local authority car parks throughout the country.

InstaVolt’s exclusive charging partner is ChargePoint, the world’s largest electric vehicle charging network. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA, the company designs, develops, manufactures and supports all of the technology that powers the network, from charging station hardware to energy management software, cloud services and an innovative mobile app.

Our role with InstaVolt encompasses media relations, social media, website build and brokering meetings with landowners and politicians alike as we position the company as one of the UK’s most influential players in the sector. There’s little doubt now that the EV revolution is now underway and we’re proud to be playing our part in getting the message out there.
