The UK market leader in adjustable beds and chairs has appointed Lee Peck Media to launch its Southampton store.

Adjustamatic is to open in Winchester Road, Shirley – opposite Wickes – on Saturday July 28 when it will showcase a full range of adjustable beds, riser-recliner chairs, mattresses, bedroom furniture and accessories.

The launch forms part of Adjustamatic’s ongoing strategy to roll out more retail space to complement its current sales operations which has driven the company’s growth over 50 years in business. Four people have been recruited locally including the store manager Pete Hamerton.

Darren Thomas, Adjustamatic’s head of retail, said: ““Having stores helps people of all ages to try out our products and appreciate their general health and lifestyle benefits. Southampton was chosen for the location of our third store because of its vibrant economy and its reputation for focussing on healthy outdoor living what with the ABP Southampton Marathon and Let’s Ride cycling event; The Solent being a world centre for sailing and the fact that the store is just five minutes’ walk from The Common, which is one of the largest city parks in Europe.

“Customers also benefit from the expertise of Dr. Miriam Stoppard, our official health & mobility advisor. Dr. Miriam Stoppard is well-known to millions as a leading authority on health issues and our partnership has underlined Adjustamatic’s credentials as a manufacturer of high quality products which improves comfort, health and wellbeing.”

On appointing Lee Peck Media, he said: “The right agency was vitally important to us. We wanted an agency which thoroughly understood the dynamics of launching a new store in a new territory. Lee Peck Media has an excellent track record of delivery and have already impressed us with their innovation and experience.”

All Adjustamatic products – which are built at its factory in Denbigh – include built-in Cyclo-Therapy massage technology. This is designed to improve blood circulation, provide relief from various health conditions and promote relaxation. The system is recognised as a Class IIa medical device and used by the NHS to provide treatment in spinal injury units throughout the UK.

Adjustamatic’s Southampton store will be open between 9am and 6pm from Monday to Saturday and between 10am and 4pm on Sunday. To celebrate the launch Adjustamatic has introduced an array of special offers on selected products in-store for a limited period. Further information is available at https://www.adjustamatic.co.uk/
