Taking to the road with Barratt Homes

The opening of the new £28 million Bognor Regis to Felpham relief road has been making the headlines this week.

TV, radio, social and print media have all covered the story extensively and the presence of three Rolls-Royce motor cars to lead the VIP convoy was the icing on the cake.

The 3km road has been funded by Barratt Homes as part of its redevelopment plans for the area and the road includes the largest viaduct in the county.

Speaking at the official opening Barratt Homes managing director Tim Hill said he was delighted to be celebrating the opening with so many people who have been involved in the construction process.

“This superb road is only part of our legacy for the area,’’ he told guests. “Over and above our development, we provided the land for a local school, community facilities, sports pitches, upgrades to the A27 at Chichester and we were also responsible for connecting the drainage for the local Rolls-Royce Motor Company factory.”
